Movie Cars: Cinematic Stars on Wheels
through November 19 - National Automobile Museum, Reno
Thirteen famous movie cars -- five from the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles and eight from this museum's permanent collection -- include The 1946 Ford "Greased Lightning" in "Grease," The Shagmobile from "Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me," and The 2002 Jaguar XKR featured in the film Die Another Day. One car from the local collection, an 1892 Phillon was used in both Orsen Welles' "Magnificent Ambersons" and the Red Skelton movie "Excuse My Dust." Movie nights will feature these films and more.
Go here for the movie schedule. Hours: Monday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. -- Sunday: 1- a.m. to 4 p.m. Admision: $10 general, $8 seniors, $4 children. On movie nights, $10 admission covers all exhibits and the movie.

This musical is billed as “The Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change®.” The original, off-Broadway -- smash hit -- musical begins with four women, “Professional Woman,” “Soap Star,” “Iowa Housewife” and “Earth Mother” at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie sale. The women share their ups and downs through a collection of 25 re-lyricized baby boomer songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. Disco hit “Stayin’ Alive” becomes “Stayin’ Awake,” Motown favorite “My Guy” is transformed into “My Thighs,” "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" switches to "In the Guest Room or on the Sofa, My Husband Sleeps at night,” and “Puff The Magic Dragon” becomes the anthem to exercise, Puff, My God I’m Draggin.’”
